My son has …..

No it’s nothing bad, no croup or sickness, it’s actually something good!  My son has friends.

I had no idea that it would happen this young, but he does seem to in fact have a few kids that he favors and likes to spend time with.  The good thing about these new toddler friendships is that Brian and I have a chance to meet some great people that, who knows, could become our friends too!

At daycare he runs and laughs with the cutest little guy.  Last week when I picked him up the two were laughing at something funny- then they would run around in a circle and laugh again.  He is also the first one to welcome Tommy in the morning.  A few other new friends at school add fun to his week.

I asked him the other night, who are your friends?  He listed a few names from daycare, Skyfox and Elmo (of course!).

Of course my friends have the cutest and greatest kids too- so whenever we can we schedule play dates, a chance for us to hang out, and our chance to see our kids play together and who knows they might become future drinking buddies (responsible drinking buddies).

Brian and I are both big advocates of spending time with our friends, we even worked that into our wedding vows.  I am so happy that Tommy is starting to see the value of friends and I hope he always will.

Isn't it the sweetest thing to see them forming friendships? P's always asking "are we going to my friend's house?" or "are my friends going to be at the gym too?" I love it!
