Traveling Solo

I am at Logan airport- my big adventure into the pits of Hell, I mean Florida begins.

What  a different experience to once again travel solo.  It has been a long time since I traveled somewhere alone.  I was pretty early this morning so I just sort of eased my way to check in and through security and now I am sitting here soaking it all in with my latte and oatmeal watching the planes fly in and out, people watching and ease dropping of course, I can never turn my intense curiosity off.

A cute family with not one, but three kids is eating their breakfast, the worker bees are making phone calls and checking e-mails, the happy couples are excited for new adventures, the high tech business women in suits are well suited up and very professional looking.

The last time I was here and the time before I had Tommy and the million things that come with Tommy to think about.  It was definitely an adventure, but more about keeping track well of a toddler.

For right now all I have to do is take care of me.  Strange and wonderful at the same time.  i should remember to do this every now and then ;)

In a few hours I will be visiting the Halbert’s … I can’t wait to post pics of the cutest red head family of all time (well besides my own!).

Stay tuned for extreme cuteness.

Hi Laurie! I just did the same thing a few weeks ago. It was so hard for me, I seriously started crying 30 minutes before I was going to leave the house and cried the whole way to the airport. ): But once I got there I was happy to see my bestie and have a little peace and quiet time to myself. It's definitely a necessity for a mom to be able to put her guard down and have a good time without wondering what her kids are getting into and why they are so dang quiet. It doesn't sound like you had nearly the hard time I did – good for you! I'm just a big baby (and I blame my pregnant hormones). Lol.
