Hangin with my Homies

Some might think I am crazy that my time away would be to travel to a house with an almost three year old and 2 twin 4 month olds… well call me crazy then, but I have had a great time.
It is so nice to spend time with Becky, her family and friends.  I wish we lived closer and this was a regular thing , to just come over and hang out- but it’s not so I am soaking it all in and will try to carry home some of my “becky time” to get me through the year.

The last few days I have held babies- made funny faces, sang songs, danced and carried infant carriers.  I have also played cars, trains, and dinosaurs with an almost three year old- the whole time thinking wow this is Tommy is only a year?!

Amongst all the time with the little people,  Becky and I have been able to carve out some time to hang out and reconnect on that important adult level too.  We went to a baseball game, headed out to the movies but ended up missing it to stay at the bar and catch up :0 and fit in talks in the car and half conversations when the kids are around too.  Couldn’t get any better than this.

I love my time with my friends; I really loved this past long weekend with my best friend Becky.  I wish we had more time  to spend together, but I am so thankful that we made the most out of the time we did have.

Cute factor alert here it comes…..
