Here we Grow (Again)

For the fourth year in a row we have planted our garden and are anxiously waiting to see how our garden grows.

So far the garlic is looking good, but not quite there yet.  A really neat thing about garlic is that we planted last Fall and still we wait… After it is ready then we have to wait some more, waiting for it to dry out before we can even taste a bite !

We also have tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, summer squash, and carrots out there slowly growing.

What else are we growing?  Well a baby of course.  Our family is growing again, our second child due in late October.  I am also anxiously waiting to meet you too little one.

I feel you now all the time, kicking away, and so has your dad which is very exciting to him (on July 1st for the first time).  Every week we reflect on your growth and all the new things going on in there- right now you are the size of a spaghetti squash.

Just like our garden, I am patiently awaiting your arrival.  I know that you need more time to grow and I want you to be healthy and ready before you enter the world.  I want you to have everything you need to thrive and feel cared for and loved- because you are already so loved.

Let’s see… here is my prediction – summer squash, cucumbers, garlic, tomatoes…. pumpkins then YOU!!!

It’s always exciting to feel the first kick of a new baby. Later on you wish he/she wouldn’t kick quite so much! I really should start a garden, but I never seem to get around to doing it

I bet it is fun to have a garden I wish I have the time. I have never tried having a garden so I have no idea if I would even be good at it.

A garden would be nice. Maybe next year my boss will get the fencing fixed so the horses won’t be all over the yard so i can have a garden. I had one last year and they broke through the fencing I had up around the garden and trampled every last thing to the ground. I was devastated.

Congrats on the new addition! I cannot grow anything beyond herbs..I’ve tried everything from avocados to oranges and they just never come up!

  • Rochelle

Congrats on your new bundle of joy! How fun! My garden is growing very slowly this year.

I wish we had a yard so we could grow some things. I know the kids would love it (for now…they are little) and we’d save so much money!

I had a garden of veggies growing beautifully (onions, garlic, broccoli, and rhubarb) but between our new dog and the rabbits out here, it’s all dead or eaten. :(
